Davos, Switzerland: Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi said the state is fully prepared for next-generation global investments with a stable, policy-driven, and world-class ecosystem. The remarks were made during the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026, where a high-level delegation from Gujarat is showcasing the state’s investment potential and growth momentum.
Gujarat Showcases Vision 2047 and Global Readiness
Sanghavi highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat has emerged as a gateway to the future. The delegation’s participation at WEF 2026 emphasizes the state’s commitment to global collaboration, innovation, and economic transformation.
With the theme “Gujarat – Ready for the World, Where Vision Meets Action,” the state is positioning itself as a preferred destination for global investments across priority sectors.

During the forum, Sanghavi engaged with global tech leaders including Varun Sivaram (Emerald AI), Sanjay Mehrotra (Micron Technology), and Chris Lehane (OpenAI). Discussions centered on:
- AI-driven data centers and smart infrastructure
- Semiconductor fabrication and advanced electronics
- Quantum-resistant technologies and Industry 5.0
Emerald AI’s Conductor platform and Gujarat’s focus on AI-driven innovation were highlighted as key growth drivers.
Clean Energy, Green Hydrogen, and Sustainability
The Gujarat delegation also focused on clean energy and industrial decarbonisation. Strategic meetings included:
- Vestas – wind energy and offshore wind projects
- Hitachi Energy, ENGIE, EDF, Topsoe – green hydrogen, renewable manufacturing, and grid modernization
- INOX GFL, Trafigura – energy transition and clean energy exports
Gujarat’s first offshore wind project and world-class renewable energy parks were showcased as examples of the state’s sustainable development initiatives.
Global Partnerships and Investment Opportunities
Gujarat engaged with leaders from Lulu Group, Welspun, Sumitomo, RPSG Group, ArcelorMittal, and AP Moller-Maersk, focusing on:
- Port-led development and multimodal logistics
- Supply chain integration and industrial expansion
- Advanced materials, space technology, and sustainable urban development
The delegation also discussed financing solutions with World Bank Group and Asian Development Bank, addressing climate resilience, water security, and infrastructure development.

During WEF 2026, the Gujarat delegation conducted over 30 high-impact meetings with CEOs, investors, and multilateral institutions, reinforcing the state’s position as India’s hub for investment, innovation, and sustainable growth.
