Gandhinagar: Gujarat is set to host the third edition of the Semiconnect Conference 2026 on March 1 at Mahatma Mandir, bringing together global semiconductor CEOs, policymakers, and industry leaders to strengthen India’s semiconductor ecosystem. The event is organized by the Department of Science & Technology and Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM) and is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for technological self-reliance, making semiconductors a cornerstone of India’s growth agenda.
Key Leaders to Inaugurate the Conference
The conference will be inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra bhai Patel, along with Union Minister for Electronics & IT, Railways, and Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and Minister for Science & Technology Arjun Modhwadia.
The event will feature global CEOs from Micron, Tata Electronics, CG Semi, Kaynes, and other industry leaders, creating a platform for collaboration, investment, and innovation in India’s semiconductor sector.

Over two days, the conference will host:
- Keynote addresses by industry leaders and policymakers
- Thematic panels on next-generation semiconductor research and manufacturing
- Country-specific roundtables with Japan and Taiwan
- Seminars on education and workforce development, such as “From Silicon to Students: Building India’s Semiconductor Future”
Focus on Infrastructure, Investment, and Export Readiness
The discussions will highlight key investment hubs like Dholera and Sanand, logistics and export readiness, and financing through GIFT International Financial Services Centre. Delegates will gain insights into India’s electronics foundation, from printed circuit boards to resilient component ecosystems.
Day two of the conference includes a guided tour of the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), facilitated by GSEM, DICDL, and Tata Electronics, allowing participants to witness Gujarat’s ambitious infrastructure projects and investment-ready facilities firsthand.
