Chandigarh: The Haryana government has announced the transfer of two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in a late-night reshuffle. According to the official order issued on Friday night, Sirsa Superintendent of Police (SP) Mayank Gupta has been removed from his post, and IPS officer Deepak Saharan has been appointed as the new SP of Sirsa.
Deepak Saharan to Take Charge as Sirsa SP
Deepak Saharan, a 2014-batch IPS officer, will now take charge as the Superintendent of Police in Sirsa. Known for his experience in maintaining law and order and his proactive policing approach, Saharan has served in various key postings across Haryana.
Mayank Gupta Yet to Receive New Posting
Outgoing SP Mayank Gupta has not yet been assigned a new posting, as per the transfer order. The government stated that his next assignment will be issued through a separate notification.
Late-Night Reshuffle
The transfer was part of a brief late-night administrative reshuffle carried out by the Haryana Home Department. Sources indicate that more transfers of senior police officers could follow in the coming days as part of a regular exercise.
