CM Hemant Soren Concludes 17th Jharkhand Police State-Level Sports Competition 2025-26 in Ranchi

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren presided over the closing ceremony of the 17th Jharkhand Police State-Level Sports Competition 2025-26 at JAP-1 Ground, Doranda, Ranchi. The three-day event, held from March 17 to 19, showcased the athletic talents and teamwork of police personnel from across the state.

Winners Honored, Police Personnel Encouraged

During the ceremony, CM Soren honored the winners and runners-up with trophies while encouraging all participants for their dedication and sportsmanship. He praised the police personnel for balancing state security duties with excellence in sports, noting that many have represented Jharkhand at national and international competitions, bringing pride to the state and country.

Emphasis on Participation Over Victory

Addressing the participants, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of participation, stating:

“Some win, some miss, but taking part in sports is the biggest achievement. Keep participating with enthusiasm, and success will follow.”

He also highlighted that such competitions promote fitness, teamwork, and morale among police personnel, making them physically and mentally stronger.

Organizers and Dignitaries Present

The event saw the presence of senior officials from the Home Department and Jharkhand Police, including:

  • Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department Vandana Dadel
  • Director General of Police Tadasha Mishra
  • Additional Director General of Police Priya Dubey

Police personnel from across Jharkhand participated, competing in various sports and showcasing discipline, strength, and talent.

Promoting Fitness and Sports Culture

CM Hemant Soren reiterated the importance of state-level sports competitions as a means to encourage police personnel to maintain fitness and health while fostering a competitive spirit. He lauded Jharkhand Police for organizing such events annually, ensuring that the workforce stays motivated and physically active.

The 17th Jharkhand Police State-Level Sports Competition concluded successfully, strengthening camaraderie among police personnel and highlighting the state’s commitment to promoting sports, health, and excellence in service.
