The central deputation tenure of 1992 batch Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) Himabindu Mudumbai, currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Revenue, has been extended by two years.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on May 5, 2025, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the Department of Revenue’s proposal for her continued tenure. The extension will be effective from June 11, 2025, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
Ms Mudumbai, a senior officer of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service, has been serving in this key position at the Ministry of Finance and is known for her expertise in fiscal policy and public financial management.
