Hindustan Copper Introduces ₹1 Crore GPA Insurance and Common Uniform for Employee Welfare

New Delhi: Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, has introduced new welfare measures to enhance social security and unity among its workforce. The company rolled out a Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance Policy and introduced a common uniform for all employees across its units and offices.

Enhanced Social Security for Employees

HCL has introduced a Group Personal Accident Insurance Policy providing coverage of ₹20 lakh for all contractual employees while on duty. In collaboration with State Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, and other partner banks, additional accident insurance coverage of up to ₹40 lakh has also been extended to contractual employees through Corporate Salary Package schemes.

For its regular employees, HCL, in association with SBI, has launched a landmark Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme offering comprehensive coverage of ₹1 crore. This benefit applies both on-duty and off-duty, underscoring HCL’s commitment to ensuring social security for its workforce.

Common Uniform for All Employees

In a move to promote equality and reinforce corporate identity, HCL has introduced a common uniform for all employees across its units and offices. This initiative reflects the company’s values of unity and inclusiveness while projecting a professional image before stakeholders.

By implementing a shared dress code, HCL emphasizes its identity as the ‘Copper Miner of India’, committed to fostering respect, cohesion, and collective achievement within its workforce.
