Kolkata: State-owned Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Mines, has announced the superannuation of its Senior Management Personnel, Mr. Ramanand Adhikari, General Manager (Chemical), effective 30th November 2025. Mr. Adhikari retires after decades of distinguished service in the chemical and mining sectors, leaving behind a legacy of significant contributions to HCL’s operations and technological advancements.
A Distinguished Career in Chemical and Mining Operations
Mr. Adhikari has been associated with Hindustan Copper Limited since April 1995, initially as Deputy General Manager (DGM), and later progressing to General Manager (Chemical). During his tenure, he has spearheaded multiple technological upgradation projects and reported directly to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) in Kolkata.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Adhikari served as Assistant General Manager (AGM) (Chemical) and Chief Manager (Chemical), contributing significantly to operations in copper electrolytic refining and metals recovery processes. His leadership has been crucial in enhancing operational efficiency and implementing innovative solutions in the chemical division.

Early Career and Industry Experience
Mr. Adhikari began his career at Hindustan Unilever Ltd, managing operations of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid plants from April 1991 to April 1995. This foundational experience in chemical process management laid the groundwork for his long and successful career in the mining and metallurgical industry.
