In a significant administrative move, the Himachal Pradesh government has appointed Rajiv Kumar, a retired Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of 1988 batch, as the new Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA).
Mr Kumar, who retired from his role as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force (HoFF), brings a wealth of experience to his new position.
In addition to Kumar’s appointment, the state government has also named Commodore Roopan Bembey (retired) and Sukhdev Singh, a retired state administrative service officer, as members of the HPRCA. These appointments are expected to bolster the Aayog’s effectiveness in its role overseeing state-level recruitments and appointments.
The HPRCA is a key body responsible for ensuring transparency and efficiency in the recruitment processes for various state government positions.
The announcement was made in a statement by the Chief Minister’s office, highlighting the government’s commitment to enhancing the administrative framework of the state.
