HP: Govt Promotes 10 Officers of Himachal Pradesh Secretariat Services to Under Secy Positions

Shimla: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Himachal Pradesh announced the promotion of 10 officers from the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat Services (HPSS) to the position of Under Secretary. The order, dated May 1, 2025, was officially announced today, May 2, 2025.

These promotions are part of the government’s efforts to bolster the administrative framework and improve service delivery across various departments.

Here is a list of the promoted officers and their new appointments:

  1. Manjeet Bansal HPSS – Transferred from Joint Secretary, Secretariat Administration Department, to Joint Secretary – Social Justice & Empowerment, Himachal Pradesh.
  2. Rajesh Gautam HPSS – From Under Secretary, Secretariat Administration Department, to Under Secretary – Finance, Himachal Pradesh.
  3. Promila Sharma HPSS – Appointed as Under Secretary – General Administration Department (GAD), Himachal Pradesh, following her promotion.
  4. Rajinder Singh Negi HPSS – Appointed as Under Secretary – Revenue, Himachal Pradesh, after promotion.
  5. Arvind Kumar HPSS – Promoted and appointed as Under Secretary – Technical Education, Himachal Pradesh.
  6. Jai Prakash HPSS – Promoted and appointed as Under Secretary – Agriculture, Himachal Pradesh.
  7. Manjeet Singh HPSS – Appointed as Under Secretary – Education, Himachal Pradesh, after promotion.
  8. Kapil Mohan HPSS – Promoted and appointed as Under Secretary – Secretariat Administration Department, Himachal Pradesh.
  9. Narayan Singh HPSS – Appointed as Under Secretary – Animal Husbandry, Himachal Pradesh, following his promotion.
  10. Pradeep Chauhan HPSS – Promoted and appointed as Under Secretary – Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Himachal Pradesh.
  11. Dr. Gopal Krishan HPSS – Promoted to Under Secretary – Personnel, with additional charge of Under Secretary – Secretariat Administration Department (SAD), Himachal Pradesh.

The new appointments come as part of the ongoing administrative restructuring aimed at enhancing the efficiency and performance of the state administration. These promotions reflect the state’s commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent within its civil services.
