New Delhi: Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from October 27 to November 2, with a series of engaging and insightful activities conducted across its Headquarters in New Delhi and three production units — Barauni, Gorakhpur, and Sindri.
The week-long observance aimed to promote integrity, transparency, and accountability across all levels of the organization, in alignment with this year’s theme — “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
Integrity Pledge and Awareness Initiatives
At the HURL Headquarters, Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director, administered the Integrity Pledge to employees, inspiring them to uphold ethical conduct in both their personal and professional lives. The event highlighted that true vigilance begins with individual commitment and collective responsibility.
To reinforce awareness, HURL also organized a Vigilance Awareness Quiz Competition and a Training Session on Preventive Vigilance, which was joined virtually by all three units. A distinguished vigilance expert led the session, sharing valuable insights on ethics, accountability, and transparency in governance. Employees were encouraged to practice proactive vigilance in their daily operations.
Engaging Activities at Unit Level
At the Barauni, Gorakhpur, and Sindri units, employees and school students participated enthusiastically in Prabhat Pheris (morning awareness marches). Participants carried placards and raised slogans promoting honesty, integrity, and zero tolerance towards corruption.
Additionally, Slogan Writing and Essay Competitions were held across all units to foster creative engagement and deeper awareness about ethical behavior, good governance, and the importance of collective vigilance.
Vendor Meet Promotes Transparency and Collaboration
As part of the observance, HURL organized a Vendor Meet Session, chaired by the Vice President (C&M), which saw participation from over 70 vendors across all locations. The session focused on promoting transparent communication, ethical collaboration, and reinforcing HURL’s commitment to integrity-driven business partnerships.

The Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 reaffirmed HURL’s dedication to creating a transparent, responsible, and integrity-focused organizational culture.
