Punjab: In a strategic move to enhance India’s self-reliance in defense technology, the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership aims to accelerate the indigenization of critical technologies, supporting the operational and sustenance needs of India’s air power in line with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The collaboration between IAF and IIT Ropar marks a significant step towards realizing the goal of indigenous defense technology development. The MoU focuses on leveraging the advanced research capabilities of IIT Ropar to develop homegrown solutions tailored to the technical requirements of the Indian Air Force.
