The Punjab government has appointed Mr. Abhijeet Kaplish, a 2015-batch IAS officer, as the new Deputy Commissioner of Muktsar. This decision follows the suspension of Mr. Rajesh Tripathi (2016-batch IAS officer), who previously held the post, over corruption allegations.
