Amit Meena, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch from Kerala, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
The appointment was confirmed by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) in an order issued on Thursday.
Currently on compulsory wait in the Department of Economic Affairs, Mr Meena will assume his new role with effect from the date of taking charge. His tenure as Deputy Secretary will extend up to March 31, 2025, or until further orders, whichever comes first.
