The Competent Authority has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), to Mr. Amit Yadav, IAS (1991-batch AGMUT cadre), who is currently serving as Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment. He will hold this charge from June 23 to July 2, 2025, during the leave period of Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, IAS (1989-batch Maharashtra cadre).

Mr. Amit Yadav is a senior IAS officer with over three decades of administrative experience. Born on November 2, 1965, in Rajasthan, he joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1991 at the age of 25. In his current role at the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, he has played a pivotal role in driving key social welfare initiatives and policy reforms.
IAS Aravind Kumar M K Repatriated to Punjab Cadre
In a separate development, Mr. Aravind Kumar M K, IAS (2011-batch Punjab cadre), who has been serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Power, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. The repatriation has been effected with the condition of “extended cooling off.”
