New Delhi: Arshad Ayub Sheikh, a 2013-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been selected for the position of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). The appointment has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme, and Sheikh will serve a tenure until October 31, 2028, or until the date of his superannuation, whichever event occurs earlier.
According to the official order issued by the DoPT, Sheikh will assume the new role from the date of taking charge or as per further instructions.
Currently serving as the Inspector General of Registration in Jammu and Kashmir, Sheikh’s appointment for central deputation was recommended by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
