In an administrative development, Ashima Brar, an IAS officer of the 2004 batch from Haryana, has been appointed as the new Commissioner & Secretary of the Cooperation Department, Haryana.
Currently serving as the Commissioner and Secretary of the Excise & Taxation Department and the Managing Director of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (HVPNL), Brar’s new role comes as part of a strategic reshuffle in the state’s bureaucracy.
While taking charge of the Cooperation Department, Brar will continue her responsibilities as Managing Director of HVPNL, a position she has effectively held, contributing to the efficiency of Haryana’s power transmission and distribution network.
