Patna: In a strategic move aimed at enhancing coordination between industrial growth and infrastructure development, the Bihar government has entrusted senior IAS officer Kundan Kumar with additional responsibilities. Currently serving as the Resident Commissioner of the Government of Bihar and Managing Director of Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), Mr Kumar has now been appointed as the Managing Director of the Infrastructure Development Authority (IDA) as well.
With this dual leadership, Kumar will oversee both industrial promotion through BIADA and infrastructure project execution under IDA. His stewardship at BIADA has been marked by a focused push on attracting investments and accelerating industrial development in Bihar. The new role at IDA will expand his portfolio to include planning and implementation of critical infrastructure projects across the state.
The government expects this consolidated approach to foster synergy between industrial growth and infrastructure development, creating a more integrated and efficient model for economic advancement in Bihar.
Kumar’s appointment to IDA reflects the state’s confidence in his administrative acumen and track record of effective governance.
