Srinagar: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed IAS officer Ms. Mahima Madan as the Additional Secretary to the Government, Information Technology Department.
According to the order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) of J&K, Ms. Madan, a 2021 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer, will take on this new responsibility in addition to her current roles.
Retains Dual Responsibilities
The official notification clarified that Ms. Madan will continue to hold charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JaKeGA (Jammu & Kashmir e-Governance Agency) and Additional Secretary, Resident Commission, New Delhi, until further orders.
This move underscores the administration’s reliance on her leadership across key digital governance and administrative roles.
About Mahima Madan
Ms. Mahima Madan belongs to the 2021 IAS batch and has been actively engaged in e-governance and public service delivery mechanisms within the Union Territory. Her new appointment is seen as a move to further strengthen the digital transformation initiatives under the Information Technology Department.
