Chhattisgarh: IAS Officer Dr Alok Shukla Gives His Resignation After Change in Govt

Mr Shukla, who retired 3 years ago, was granted two extensions by the Congress government

1986 batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, Dr. Alok Shukla has given his resignation after the change in government following state assembly election 2023 in Chhattisgarh.

Mr. Shukla, who retired 3 years ago, was granted two extensions by the previous government. He has served in various capacities in the state.

He received extensions after his initial retirement in 2020. He was granted an extension of three years, followed by another extension when the term expired.

He has already vacated his government bungalow and relocated to his personal property on the outskirts of the state capital.

Dr. Shukla was named as one of the accused in Chhattisgarh’s Nagrik Apurti Nigam (NAN) scam related to the public distribution system (PDS), where NAN plays a pivotal role in procuring and distributing food grains.
