Assam Transfers: DC Cachar Keerthi Jalli Transferred to Kamrup

The government of Assam has issued an order to announce the administrative rejig. The Department of Personnel, Administration, through a governor's notification, announced the transfer of many senior officials.

The Deputy Commissioner of Cachar and Hailakandi, IAS officer Keerthi Jalli has been transferred and given another posting in the state. According to the order issued by DoPT, “In the interest of public service, Smti J Keerthi, IAS (RR-2013), Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Assam is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup, CEO of Guwati Biotech park and CEO of Assam Biotechnology Council.”

Top officials in Dispur said that this transfer for Ms. Jalli comes as a reward for her diligence as the deputy commissioner of Cachar. She has also been entrusted with the responsibilities of CEO of two key offices.

The officer was transferred from Hailakandi after a crisis had hit Cachar during the COVID-induced pandemic. Keeping up with the trend, Rohan Kumar Jha has been transferred from Hailakandi to replace her. “In the interest of public service, Shri Rohan Kumar Jha, IAS, (RR- 2015)’ Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi, Assam is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Cachar,” states the order.

Hivare Nisarg Gautam will be the new DC of Hailakandi, he was serving as DC Nagaon.
