New Delhi: 2015 batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre, Mr Shashank Mani Tripathi, currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation, has been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in the same capacity.
He has been posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry.
The decision was made following the recommendation of the Civil Services Board, and the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the move in an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday.
Tripathi, who began his central deputation on August 31, 2024, will continue to serve at MHA until August 30, 2028, which marks the completion of his four-year tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme, unless an earlier order is issued.
This lateral shift comes as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to optimize administrative functions across key ministries.
