- IAS Somesh Kumar
According to sources, IAS officer Somesh Kumar has chosen to meet with Andhra Chief Secretary K.S. Jawahar Reddy and provide his joining report. The move is in response to a message from the DoPT office asking Mr. Kumar to join the Andhra Government as soon as possible, preferably by January 12, and requesting that he send a compliance report in this regard.
Mr. Kumar, who held the top position for more than three years, said he wanted to join the Andhra Government and serve till he reaches the age of superannuation near the end of this year in order to send a positive signal, according to sources.
According to reports, Mr. Kumar has chosen to convey that he is willing to work as a civil servant anyplace in order to dispel any claims that he is opposed to serving in the Andhra Government.
