This was announced on Monday by the state government. Tuesday’s UP Day celebration will feature Suhas LY as a special guest of the Chief Minister. Manisha Bhati, a Wushu player from the Dadri village in Kathhera, will also receive the Rani Laxmibai Sports Award.
District Magistrate Suhas LY will be given the Laxman Award for the year 2021-22 in the Divyangjan category. Suhas LY won silver in badminton at the Tokyo Paralympics. Apart from this, he has won many medals at the national and international levels. The District Magistrate has left for Lucknow to attend the event. Other sportspersons of the state will be awarded the state’s highest honour Laxman Award.
