2011 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre and District Administrative Secretary, Mr. Vikas Gupta, accompanied by Kaithal DC, Mr Prashant Panwar, an IAS officer of 2015 batch, conducted a visit to the Kaithal additional Grain Market, Kalayat Mandi, and silos on Monday.
Mr. Gupta emphasized the urgent need for swift wheat lifting to avoid congestion in the mandis in Haryana, instructing officials accordingly.
During the visit, he interacted with Aadhtiyas and farmers, attentively addressing their concerns. He stressed the importance of prompt wheat lifting, warning of strict action against any negligence by transporters or officers.
Mr. Gupta underscored the significance of timely payment for farmers’ crops, urging nodal officers to fulfill their duties diligently and maintain vigilance over the procurement process.
Additionally, Mr. Vikas Gupta personally assessed the moisture content of the crop using a moisture measuring device and directed officials to ensure cleanliness and provision of basic amenities in the market.
He urged Aadhtiyas to cooperate fully in the wheat procurement process to minimize inconvenience to farmers. During the inspection of the silos, he instructed officials to implement measures to reduce waiting times for farmers, ensuring efficient operations.
