New Delhi: IAS officer Vivek Kumar Tripathi (AGMUT cadre, 2018 batch), currently serving as Special Secretary in the Administrative Reforms Department of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD), will now be relieved of his duties on September 6, 2025 (forenoon), to take up a new assignment in Mizoram. This marks a revision of the previously scheduled relieving date of May 30, 2025.
Relief Date Revised Following MHA’s Orders
The updated relieving date comes as a partial modification to the GNCTD’s earlier order dated May 26, 2025, and is in compliance with directives issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) – specifically Order No. 15041/02/2024-UTS-I dated June 3, 2025, and Order No. 15041/05/2023-UTS-I dated May 16, 2025.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, which manages the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre, recently conducted a review of transfer requests submitted by several IAS and IPS officers. These requests were primarily based on personal or family health considerations, prompting the ministry to evaluate each case on compassionate grounds.
Temporary Extension Approved for Officer’s Request
Among those considered was Shri Vivek Kumar Tripathi, who had submitted a request to cancel or postpone his transfer. After careful review, the Ministry granted him a temporary extension, allowing him to remain in Delhi until early September. This extension will enable him to complete his responsibilities in Delhi before transitioning to his new role in Mizoram.
