In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan led state government has transferred and posted six collectors. The government has shifted the collectors of Kollam, Alappuzha, Malappuram, Kannur, Pathanamthitta and Kozhikode.
2014 batch IAS officer Divya S Iyer has been appointed as the managing director of Vizhinjam Port by Kerala government. She was serving as the District Collector of Pathanamthitta.
She replaces 2012 batch IAS officer Adeela Abdullah, who has been removed two days before the official inauguration of the port.
Ms. Divya has been also given the additional charge of the director of Solid Waste Management Project.
Mr. Shibu A, an IAS officer of 2019 batch and the executive director of the Social Security Mission, will take charge as Pathanamthitta collector.
While, Alappuzha District Collector and 2013 batch IAS officer Haritha V Kumar has been appointed the director of the Mining and Geology Department. 2015 batch IAS officer John V Samuel, who was the director of the Groundwater Department, will take over as Alappuzha collector.
Malappuram collector and 2014 batch IAS officer V R Premkumar has been appointed panchayat director. V R Vinod, IAS officer of 2015 batch and the Food Safety Commissioner, will replace Premkumar.
2014 batch IAS officer Afsana Parveen will be the new Food Safety Commissioner, while 2015 batch IAS officer Devi Das N, who was the director of the Mining and Geology Department, will take charge as Kollam collector.
Arun K Vijayan, an IAS officer of 2016 batch and the Entrance Examination Commissioner, has been appointed Kannur collector.
2016 batch IAS officer Snehil Kumar Singh has been appointed the Kozhikode collector. He was the staff officer of the Chief Secretary.
