The Punjab government has transferred one IAS officer and granted new responsibilities to two others. They are:
Mr. Kishan Kumar (1997 batch IAS), the principal secretary in the Water Resources Department with additional responsibility as the principal secretary in the Department of Government Reforms and Public Grievances, was given additional charge as the Finance Commissioner in the Department of Forests and Wildlife Protection, replacing Mr. Vikas Garg (1998 batch IAS), who was asked to assume office as the principal secretary in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs.
2004 batch IAS officer, Mr. Varun Roojam, the incumbent excise commissioner, was given additional responsibility as the Taxation Commissioner.
