Three DMs among 7 IAS Officers Transferred in Tripura; Debasish Basu Posted as Secretary

One IFS (Indian Forest Service) officer was also transferred within the state

The Tripura government has announced the transfer of seven IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and one IFS (Indian Forest Service) officers inside the state, including three District Magistrates.

The officers are –

  1. Dr Debasish Basu (IAS:2005:TR), Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, General Administration (Secretariat Administration) and General Administration (Political) Department.
  2. A K Bhattacharya (IAS:2011:TR), Special Secretary with Independent charge of Revenue (RR&DM), Home (Including Fire & Emergency Services and Excluding Jail), General Administration (Administrative Reforms), General Administration (Secretariat Administration) and General Administration (Political) Departments with additional charges of Director, Relief Rehabilitation & Disaster Management and Director, Civil Defence is relieved from the independent charges of General Administration (Secretariat Administration) and General Administration (Political) Departments.
  3. Dr Rathod Sandeep Rewaji (IAS:2009:TR), Secretary, Rural Development (including Panchayats) and Public Works (Sanitation part of Drinking Water & Sanitation) Departments with additional charge of Director (Projects), SLMC of RD Department will also hold the additional charge of health and family welfare.
  4. Brahmneet Kaur (IAS:2012:TR), on repatriation from inter-cadre deputation, has been posted as Additional Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department. She will also hold the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, TRLM and Mission Director, NULM.
  5. Dr Prasada Rao Vaddarapu (IFS:2010:TR), Managing Director, TRPC Ltd. with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, TRLM and Mission Director, NULM is relieved from the additional charges of Chief Executive Officer, TRLM and Mission Director, NULM.
  6. Debapriya Bardhan (IAS:2013:TR), District Magistrate & Collector, West Tripura District, Agartala, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate & Collector, North Tripura, MECON, Dharmnagar.
  7. Nagesh Kumar B (IAS:2014:TR), District Magistrate & Collector, North Tripura District, Dharmanagar, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate & Collector, Sepahijala District, Bishramganj.
  8. Vishal Kumar (IAS:2016:TR), District Magistrate & Collector, Sepahijala District, Bishramganj, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate & Collector, West Tripura District, Agartala.
