Two Officers of Punjab Civil Services Promoted to The Rank of IAS

Among 10 officers, Gulpreet Singh Aulakh and Dr. Sona Thind got selected for the promotion to the rank of IAS Officer.

As per the notification issued by the Union Ministry of Personnel two state civil service officers; Gulpreet Singh Aulakh and Dr. Sona Thind have been promoted to the rank of an IAS Officer. Among 10 officers who was recommended by the Punjab Government only two officers finally selected through interview conducted on February 5 at UPSC Headquarters in Delhi.

The recommendation of candidates is based on their exemplary services record, length of service and nuanced understanding and appreciation of their departmental domain areas. Mr. Gulpreet Singh is currently serving as Divisional Soil Conservation Officer at Chandigarh.
