2011 batch IAS officer of UP cadre, Mr. Abhishek Singh has been suspended by the Yogi government. He is missing from duty since 82 days without informing.
Abhishek Singh was made an observer by the Election Commission during the Gujarat elections. He posted this information on his social media account along with the photo of the vehicle written Observer. After this, on November 18, the Election Commission issued a show cause notice and removed him from the post of observer.
It is being told that since then he has not joined duty. He is missing from duty without informing.
After the approval of CM, Additional Chief Secretary (Appointment and Personnel), Mr Devesh Chaturvedi has issued suspension orders for Abhishek.
Mr. Singh was earlier suspended in 2014 on charges of indecent behavior with a Dalit teacher. Then he was suspended for about one and a half months.
There is a Global Investors Summit in UP from 10 to 12 February. Due to this, the government has canceled the leave of all IAS and IPS officers till February 15. Disciplinary action has also been ordered against Abhishek Singh for not coming on duty without notice. A separate charge sheet will be issued soon in this regard.
IAS Abhishek Singh is from Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. He has studied B.Com from Delhi University. He was also an ACP in Mumbai before getting selected in IAS. He also takes interest in acting and music. He also came into limelight after walking the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week. He has appeared in the song ‘Dil Tod Ke’ with B Praak. He also worked in Jubin Nautiyal’s song ‘Tujhe Bhoolna To Chaha…’.
Abhishek Singh’s wife Durga Shakti Nagpal is also a 2009 batch IAS officer. He is posted as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Industry, Central Government since 2019.
