According to an order issued by James Tharakan, Under Secretary to the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms on Tuesday, IAS officer G Jagadeesha has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Department of Information and Public Relations. The order will come into force with immediate effect until further orders.
He is currently serving as the Secretary to the State’s Chief Minister and will be placed in concurrent charge of the post of Commissioner, Department of Information and Public Relations.
He is also the former Udupi Deputy Commissioner and Mysuru City Corporation commissioner.
