2008 batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre, Mr P Bala Kiran has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary-cum-Controller of Examination at the National Recruitment Agency (NRA). Currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Kiran’s new role is part of an order issued by the DoPT on Saturday.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved this decision, assigning Kiran the additional responsibility for a period of one year from the date he assumes charge, or until a regular incumbent is appointed, or until further orders are issued.
As Secretary-cum-Controller of Examination at the NRA, Kiran will oversee the recruitment processes conducted by the agency, which aims to streamline and centralize the recruitment process for various government jobs. This appointment highlights his leadership within the administrative service and his growing influence in key positions within the government.
