New Delhi: Rajendra Ratnoo (IAS:2001:TN), currently serving as Executive Director at the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre of Tamil Nadu. The decision, approved by the competent authority, follows a proposal from the Ministry of Home Affairs and was confirmed in an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday.
Mr. Ratnoo’s repatriation aims to facilitate his promotion within the Tamil Nadu cadre. He had been serving at NIDM since February 2023 and was granted a two-year extension in February 2024, which was set to continue until February 7, 2026.
Prior to his tenure at NIDM, Mr. Ratnoo held the position of Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) from February 2019, contributing significantly to key policy initiatives during his term.
