New Delhi, May 16, 2025 — In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, 2005 batch senior IAS officer of AGMUT cadre, Mr SB Deepak Kumar has been appointed as Advisor to the Administrator of Lakshadweep. He will succeed Sandeep Kumar (IAS:1997:AGMUT), who has been transferred to Delhi. The official posting order for Sandeep Kumar is currently awaited.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued the transfer orders for both officers on Friday.
About Dr.SB Deepak Kumar
Dr. SB Deepak Kumar has done his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. He has also worked in Department of Personnel, Delhi Administration, National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCTD) and Transport under Delhi Administration, National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCTD)
SB Deepak Kumar is presently serving as Secretary, Health and Family Welfare in the Delhi government. With his appointment to Lakshadweep, he will play a key role in supporting the administration of the Union Territory, which has strategic and ecological significance.
