New Delhi: In a recent administrative move, Vaishali R, an IAS officer of the Gujarat 2023 batch, has been transferred from the Gujarat Cadre to the Andhra Pradesh Cadre. The transfer comes on the grounds of her marriage to Shri Pawar Swapnil Jagannath, an IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh 2023 batch.
Vaishali R, who joined the All India Services on December 5, 2021, holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) degree from Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University College of Medical & Dental, where she graduated with first-class honors.
Her transfer is in line with the government’s policy allowing spouses of IAS officers to serve in the same cadre, facilitating a smoother family life. This move marks a significant step in Vaishali’s promising career within the All India Services.
In a similar development, Chhaya Singh, an IAS officer from the Madhya Pradesh 2024 batch, has been transferred from the Madhya Pradesh Cadre to the Rajasthan Cadre. This transfer follows her marriage to Shri Mohit Kasniya, an IAS officer of the Rajasthan 2022 batch. Chhaya’s move to Rajasthan is expected to strengthen the administration in the state as she embarks on this next phase of her career.
Both transfers highlight the government’s efforts to provide flexibility and support for the personal and professional lives of its officers, while ensuring continued service to the nation.
