IES officer Jitender Singh has been appointed as Director in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on Tuesday. The order for this appointment was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
He was appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme. The term is of five years from the date of taking charge of the post or until further orders.
Mr. Singh is an IES (Indian Economic Service) officer of 2008 batch and was recommended by the Department of Economic Affairs. He was immediately relieved to take up the charge of Director in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
