The Union Government, through a circular by the DOPT, has recently appointed Indian Economic Service officer Deepak Das as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Union Minister for Education, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, at the Deputy Secretary level.
Officer Das, a 2013-batch Indian Economic Service officer, has been approved for the post for a period of 2 years, 11 months and 21 days (for the balance period of 4 years of working as OSD in the Minister’s staff) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as OSD to the Minister or until further orders, whichever transpires earlier.
Mr. Deepak Das had previously served as Private Secretary to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the second term of the NDA government.
