The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has recently appointed senior IFS officer, Mr. B Vanlalvawna, as the next Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia. Officer Vanlalvanwa is a 1998 batch Indian Foreign Service officer and is presently the Joint Secretary in the Ministry.
The MEA’s statement reads, “B. Vanlalvawna (IFS: 1998), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Cambodia.” The IFS officer is expected to take up the assignment shortly. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Devyani Uttam Khobragade (1999-batch IFS officer) was serving as the Indian Ambassador to Cambodia.
