The Ministry of External Affairs has lately appointed three senior Indian Foreign Service officials as ambassadors to several countries.
- Mr. Sanjay Rana (1996-batch IFS officer) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Morocco. Officer Rana has been serving as the Indian Ambassador to Bulgaria since February 2021 and is expected to take up the new assignment shortly.
- Mr. Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal (1999-batch IFS officer) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Albania. Officer Jaiswal has been serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
- Mr. Rohitkumar R. Vadhwana (2010-batch IFS officer) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Plurinational State of Bolivia. Officer Vadhwana has been serving as the Deputy High Commissioner at the High Commission of India in Nairobi and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
