1994 batch Indian Foreign Service Officer (IFS), Ms. Vani Sarraju Rao, has been made the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Italy.
The Ministry of External Affairs informed that she succeeds Ms. Neena Malhotra, an IFS officer of 1992 batch.
She is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Ms. Rao is currently serving as an Additional Secretary in the MEA.
