Former IAS officer Mr. Karnail Singh (2015-batch promotee IAS) has been tasked with probing into a complaint by IFS officer Monica Yadav (2013 batch) against the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Mr. RK Mishra (1990 batch). Officer Mishra allegedly withheld the salary of IFS Monica Yadav for four months.
In her complaint, Ms. Yadav alleged that despite her transfer from the DFO, Sangrur, to the Punjab Forest Development Corporation, which was stayed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, her salary for four months in 2023 was not paid.
On the basis of her complaint, the Punjab government sought a reply from the PCCF. On finding his reply unsatisfactory, the State Financial Commissioner, IAS Ajoy Sharma (1999 batch), handed over the probe to ex-IAS Karnail Singh.
