New Delhi: Maneesh Kumar, a 2011-batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of the Maharashtra cadre, has been re-designated as Director in the Ministry of Mines. He has been serving as Deputy Secretary in the same ministry.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, the competent authority approved the re-designation with effect from the date he assumes charge of the upgraded post. His tenure as Director will continue until January 13, 2027.
Kumar began his central deputation on January 14, 2021, and has been posted as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Mines since March 26, 2024.
