The Ministry of External Affairs has recently mandated senior IFS officer Mr. R Ravindra to take charge as India’s next Ambassador to Iceland. Mr. Ravindra, a 1999-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, is currently serving as India’s Deputy Permanent Representative of the United Nations and is expected to take up the new assignment shortly.
Diplomat R Ravindra joined India’s Deputy Permanent Representative at the United Nations (UN) in New York in September 2020. Before that, he was posted as Joint Secretary (Central and West Africa) in the MEA in New Delhi.
