Announced by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras through its verified communication channels, this new undergraduate programme is fully online, flexible, and skill-focused. 

It is designed for Class 12 pass-outs and diploma holders who want to enter the fast-growing aviation and space sectors without going through the traditional IIT-JEE route. Aligned with national priorities such as UAVs, aviation, and space manufacturing, the programme aims to create industry-ready professionals with strong technical foundations.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has introduced a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aeronautics and Space Technology under its digital education initiative.
