Kolkata – In an effort to foster youth leadership and encourage national and international dialogue, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of India launched the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue during an event held on Thursday at the Sports Authority of India Regional Centre in Kolkata.
The initiative is designed to give local youth with leadership potential a platform to engage in discussions that span both national and international spheres. This dialogue aims to identify and nurture young leaders who can contribute to India’s growth and development on a global stage.
The program will unfold in multiple phases, with the first event being the Viksit Bharat Quiz, set to take place from November 25 to December 5, 2024. The quiz is open to individuals between the ages of 25 and 29, and it will serve as part of the selection process for the program.
The final phase of the initiative will culminate in the participation of state-level teams at the National Youth Festival, scheduled for January 11-12, 2025. This will be a momentous occasion where selected participants will have the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this interactive session, the young leaders will be able to present their ideas and engage in meaningful discussions with the Prime Minister.
This new initiative highlights India’s commitment to empowering its youth and creating a space for them to actively shape the future of the nation. The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue marks a significant step towards nurturing the next generation of visionary leaders.
