The inauguration of the train was met with appreciation from Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, who extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw for prioritising connectivity and passenger convenience.
As per the official schedule, the Jabalpur–Raipur Express will depart Jabalpur at 6:00 AM and arrive in Raipur by 1:50 PM. On its return journey, it will leave Raipur at 2:45 PM and reach Jabalpur at 10:45 PM, completing a journey of approximately eight hours.
The express train will make halts at key stations including Madan Mahal, Nainpur, Balaghat, Gondia, Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon, and Durg, enhancing regional accessibility and benefiting daily commuters, tourists, and business travellers alike.
Equipped with 15 coaches, the train is designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient travel experience. The South East Central Railway confirmed the launch through an official post on its X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating that the service is expected to facilitate better regional connectivity across central India.
The introduction of this daily express service is aligned with Indian Railways’ broader mission to enhance national integration, improve passenger amenities, and bring remote regions into the mainstream development framework.
