New Delhi: Aisha Khan, a 2014-batch officer of the Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, on central deputation.
The appointment, made under the Central Staffing Scheme, has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) and will be effective for a period of four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier, according to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday.
She has been directed to be relieved from her current responsibilities by the Ministry of Defence to take up the new assignment without delay.

Aisha Khan brings with her over nine years of administrative experience within the Ministry of Defence. She has held key positions including:
- Deputy Director (2019–2023) in the Department of Defence Production, Government of India
- Chief Human Resource Officer and PRO at Ordnance Parachute Factory, Kanpur
- Assistant Director (2016–2018), handling industrial relations and public engagement
- Member, Internal Committee on Prevention of Sexual Harassment
- Guest Lecturer at the Ordnance Factory Institute of Learning
Her leadership at the Ordnance Parachute Factory included managing HR operations, stakeholder communication, and workforce relations.
