IPS Alok Sharma has been appointed as ADG in Special Protection Group (SPG), consequent upon his empanelment for holding ADG/ADG equivalent level post in the Central Government by temporarily upgrading a post of IG in SPG to the rank of ADG.
Sharma is a 1991-batch officer and currently IG, SPG.
