The number of seats for induction into the Indian Police Service (IPS) from the State Services for the joint Jammu & Kashmir-AGMUT cadre is expected to increase. The total number of seats is likely to rise from 139 to 161.
Out of this increase, 3 to 4 additional seats are expected to be allocated to Jammu & Kashmir, paving the way for more JKPS (Jammu and Kashmir Police Service) officers to be inducted into the IPS from the region.
