The Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government on Wednesday ordered the immediate transfer and posting of two senior IPS officers, in a significant reshuffle within the state police services.
IPS officer 1997 batch IPS officer SPS Parmar has been appointed as the new Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau Punjab. He will replace Sh. G. Nageswara Rao, who was recently appointed to the prominent post.
Meanwhile, 1995 batch IPS officer G. Nageswara Rao has been transferred to the position of ADGP (Provisioning) in Punjab, Chandigarh, relieving Sh. S.S. Srivastava of his additional charge. The reshuffle comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency and accountability within the state administration.
These transfers reflect the state government’s continued commitment to improving governance and ensuring the smooth functioning of key departments.
